When planning our ten year anniversary, I immediately knew we wanted to spend it close to home in beautiful Napa Valley. There are many great places to stay but Hotel Yountville has always been on the top of my list. From it’s stunning property, to it’s amazing customer service, we definitely enjoyed every minute of our luxurious stay.
As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed by the friendly staff and a gorgeous lobby. The vaulted ceilings were so pretty! An added bonus is their happy hour with local wineries pouring each night.
When we got to our guest room, I seriously gasped because it was so beautiful. The four poster bed (that was hands down the comfiest bed ever) and the freestanding tub in the room added so much to the cottage wine country feel. A gorgeous spa like bathroom and the cozy fireplace made it hard to leave the room. We even had the hotel set up a picnic lunch that we were planning on taking to a local winery with us but unfortunately it rained. Instead we turned on the fireplace and stayed in the room to eat which was just as nice!
After lunch when the weather cleared, we headed to the pool to lounge for awhile. The pool is a favorite of ours…I especially love the clean modern design with the oversized lanterns on all sides. The fire pit gets going in the early evening and of course it’s a great spot to grab a bite and some more wine! You can also reserve one of their cabanas for some extra privacy.
Next we got dressed and headed to a few wineries. The Hotel partners with many of them so you can benefit from telling them you are saying at Hotel Yountville. Some offer a free tasting or a cheese platter complimentary. Duckhorn is always a favorite of ours!
After we went back to the hotel to relax before dinner at Lucy. Lucy is located in Hotel Yountville’s sister property, Bardessono Hotel and Spa. Another great thing about the hotel is that they have a car service that will drive you to town. No need to worry about a DD! Hotel Bardessono was really cool and modern, definitely different from Hotel Yountville. The food and drinks at Lucy were delicious. We loved their “field to fork” mentality and enjoyed our meal so much!
After dinner, we were so full and couldn’t wait to get back to our room at the hotel. Mostly I wanted to get in my comfy clothes and lay in bed to watch TV. Helloooo to ten years of marriage! After a great night of sleep, we headed to Heritage Oak for a yummy breakfast before we headed out of town. Their Heritage Oak Benedict was out of this world! We were so perfectly full and relaxed after our wonderful stay we both agreed it was the best little getaway for our ten year anniversary. The only thing we would change next time is staying longer! I definitely would book a spa treatment and take advantage of the on property bikes to ride to local wineries. Every little detail there was special and I highly recommend putting Hotel Yountville on your bucket list!
The cutest little cart for room service.
Until next time Hotel Yountville! xo Nicole
